Learning-centred teaching

Abstract
In this reflection note, I argue that the student-centred teaching favours the students that already is very knowledgeable. The student-centred teaching neglects the importance of challenging the knowledgeablestudents and improving the learning of the less knowledgeable students. Another problem is that thestudent-centred teaching most often imitate the traditional teacher-centred teaching by just replacing theteacher with the students. The consequence of that it not an interesting and vibrant learning environmentbut a more informal and less competent teaching situation. In contrast to distinguishing between good andbad students according to how fast the students adopt new knowledge, I suggest university teaching shouldby learning-centred teaching that facilitates good learners.
