Elements of the PhD study programme

In order to obtain the PhD degree, the PhD student must complete a study programme consisting of differents elements as stated in Ministerial order No 1039 of 27 August 2013.

Carry out independent research work under supervision (the PhD project).

• Complete PhD courses totalling approx. 30 ECTS points.
• Participate in active researchh environments, including stays at other, mainly foreign, research institutions.
• Gain experience of teaching or other form of knowledge dissemination, which is, as far as possible, related to the student’s PhD project.
• Complete a PhD thesis on the basis of the PhD project.
